Swollen eye, almond oil as makeup remover?

My eyes keep swollen up, I really do not know what the reason it. I thought it could be mosquitos. I have placed raid plug-ins all around the house. Still same problem. I go to sleep, wake up SOMETIMES or very OFTEN with a swollen eye. I also have another question, is it true that I can use almond oil to wipe my eye makeup off or my face makeup for that matter? I have noticed lately that my concealer to cover the dark circles under my eyes isn't 'doing' it anymore. I have notice that I have some fine lines 'coming' up. And the concealer is making it look caked on and making the fine lines more apparent. This is very new to me and not sure what I'm doing wrong.





My daily beauty routine is using Elizabeth Arden products for wash/cleanse, some toner, moisturizer. Then concealer around eyes patting that in and then foundation, and then the rest of the war paint.

It sounds like you will need to change the concealer your using as well as the foundation. Try to continue patting the foundation around your eyes.





You could also have puffiness around the lower part of your eye in the morning as well and that may increase the fine lines appearance, get more sleep at night. Do not use any cleanser around your eyes in the morning. If you do anything, do that at night. Irritation of the skin increases the puffiness. Use a cold cloth to help in the morning, stop using the concealer for now and use a light foundation around your eyes. I think less is more. Make up isn't face paint. It's not so you look like an andy warhol painting, it is so you can present the best you. I have pale skin green eyes and medium brown hair. I've always used a goldish color eyeshadow, it brings out green eyes, I don't use eyeliner, but when I have in the past I've used a dark purple color almost black, but don't use too much. and if you use it on the bottom use it on the top too so your eyes don't look bottom heavy!

You and I are the same coloring. I use plums and grays usually for eye shadow. Sometimes, I wear gold-browns which seem to bring out the green in my eyes. I tend to focus more on my eye make-up than my lips. I mostly use a light or clear gloss that isn't too, too shiny.

That sounds good to me! I don't wear it because I think it's an unnecessary waste of time, but if you wanted to try eye shadow then a muted lavender {for yellow-green eyes} or pink {for pure green eyes} color would really make your eyes pop!

As for your mascara question, there could be three different problems.


1-If you're mascara is more than 6 months old, it's probably no good anymore and you need to replace it.


2-The brand of mascara you're using could be cheap and poorly made, in which case, you should go with a better brand. (I use Avon Supershock, it's pretty awesome)


3-You could be applying your second coat before the first is done drying.What kind of makeup accesories would bring out brown eyes?

It totally depends on what you are wearing and how you would like to be percieved.. On average though, I would tell you to go with a smoky brown for an evening look.. If you want to go out and make people notice, soft earthtones and golds are very impressive.. For a day look, try soft neutrals and light earthtones.. If you want to make you green eyes look deeper, use a blue eyeliner to make the blue tones of your eyes stand out and use a brown eyeshadow.. And with green eyes it always looks better if you go with a dark brown mascara..

I use 4 different mascaras everyday and a liquid eyeliner on the top and pencil on the bottom I also do a speciak joining thing with the eyelineers which looks really good and highlights he eyes really well but it's difficult to get right and that takes quite a while.

I wear make up everyday. I have uneven skin, so I have to use a foundation to keep it looking smoothe and fair. Not really something to hide, it just makes them feel better about themselves. Why do men and women dress up for job interviews? Because the extra touch of nicer clothes adds an air of self-confidence. I am not a girl who wears a lot of make up, a touch of eye shadow and i'm good to go. (Most people I know aren't even aware that i have ANY make up on!) But I do like to paint my nails, and THAT is because it is a way to express my individuality. Perfume I thought was self explanatory... when you're at school for 7+ hours, it's always good to smell nice.Why do women %26amp; girls wear makeup [lipstick,painted fingers/toenails, eye shadow,etc.]?
no you're wrong. there are many girls who are make up devotees, not because they want to hide but because it is a women's thing and they love it. people like make up artists have got nothing to hide, its just their art side. girls,..i can understand they are just experimenting. in some work places, women wearing no make up can be seen as dull, tasteless, and still got that just-out-of-bed style.





sure there are girls who wear loads of make up to hide something on their faces, they just didnt understand the purpose of make up. make up is for enhancing your natural beauty, not for cover-ups.





i love make up and i wear them to enhance my best feature on my face to make it more outstanding, not hiding, but showing. i rather wear make up than having the ';ungroomed look';.

No actually makeup is supposed to enhance features they already have, unless u r wearing to much then yes your hiding something scary. But your just the type of guy who likes natural women, good for you!

women wear make up to add touches to their natural beauty. or to cover up all their ugliness that they think they have. some wear too much make up just because they want to get noticed. perfumes just make women smell good. its attracting and some girls use a lot because they have b.o. yes, to your last question. girls use make up to cover up blemishes, acne, scars, etc. they're just emberrased of what they look like and think make up can help. i try to wear little make up or to no make up at all. i try to be simple. i only wear make up for occasions. perfumes i use everyday. not to attract boys, but to smell good. and i do not have b.o.
you should see heavy make-up users without makeup, they look like someone else, and you realize why they wear so much.
A girl thinks she has to wear makeup because that is what society portrays. I wasn't allowed to start wearing makeup until I could buy it myself, my parents wouldn't buy it for me. I started using birthday/holiday money at 13 to buy it. Once I started wearing it you wouldn't catch me out of the house with out it on. Even just to run to the store for milk. Now I hardly ever wear it at all. So I have been through all stages. It doesn't necessarily mean she is trying to hide anything. It is just what most young girls/women do.
eh.. some girls wanna look prettier, you can't blame them. and just by saying 'plain' .. youre basically saying ALL girls are plain without it, only fueling their need for makeup.





personally, i barely even wear foundation.. so i cant really talk for other girls who wear the eyeliner, shadow..etc. but maybe guys caling them 'plain' is why they do it? just a hint.
because most girls look like **** without it. trust me...you may think that girl you like is all natural...but shes secretly running to the bathroom and reapplying concealer and blush and mascara like crazy.
Sorry Charlie. But, my husband LOVES it when I do all of that girlie stuff. AND, women do it because it makes us feel better. We've been doing it since the beginning of time.
Makeup is made to enhance a girls great features: lips, skin, eyes, etc. its just supposed to enhance not cover not mask so i partly no where your coming from. BUT also makeup makes us feel pretty when OUR real beauty shows through. i think u just hav been looking at the wrong girls because not every girl needs a blowtorch to take off her makeup. i wear makeup but it looks naturally beautiful as long as its not SOO OBVIOUS we're wearing it. we want to be complimented on our beauty so we ENHANCE. it just makes us feel pretty.

DO NOT take the advice on blues. Green eyed girls should never wear blue, it competes with your eye color rather than enhancing it.

there is a make up by almay just for green eyes. try that make up. i have brown eyes and i tried the almay make up for brown eyes. it works very well and looks pretty. it will bring out the green in your eyes.

Peaches, browns, and golds will bring out blue eyes, and purples look good with all eye/skin/hair colors. You could also use taupes and any natural shade.

I agree with most answers here. Just a reminder to anyone, though- no blue eyeshadow! Navy eyeliner makes eyes brighter and other colors enhance your eyes/hair. Coral is a universal flatterer, but blue is not! My best friend has long white-blonde hair and blue eyes, but it looks bad even on her, and she's gorgeous. Avoid it if you can!

...what? I wear whatever makeup I want with my contacts. You're supposed to put them in before you put on makeup anyway...and you're supposed to wash your hands before you even touch your contacts...so I don't see how you'd get a film on them from makeup.
